President, Rtn. Swati Dharmadhikari
Born on the 29 th of June, Rotarian Swati Dharmadhikari is the true resemblance of the cancer sign. She is a home birdy and has taken on and successfully accomplished many goals while simultaneously taking care of the entire family.What attracted her to interact club as a child was her sensitivity towards the underpriveledged. She saw the vitality of their condition and had a very strong desire of helping them out.
She was elected as the president of the interact club of st. joseph's convent,Bhopal. She was an inspiration to her peers which further lead to a very popular demand to the interact activities in her school. To name a few, her activities included free eye checkup camps and free distribution of medicines to the poor,ditribution of sweets and toys to children in the Govt Hospital,Bhopal, fund raising show and cleanliness drive. She was a member of junior chambers,a social work organisation, during the years-1989-1993.There she organised various competitions and fund raisers.After becoming a rotary member of Rotary Club of Jabalpur in 1999,she was elected as the secretary of the club in the year 2000.Same she year visited Singapore,Malaysia and Thailand and visited the Rotary Clubs there,which gave her a thorough knowledge and experience of the rotary organisation.She was also the Parent representative for the Interact Club of Symbiosis School,Pune.She arranged field trips,factory trips also to the Khadakwasla Dam to explain the working and the importance of the dam to the interactors.
A St.Joseph's Convent alumni, she did M A English Literature taking active part in her college activities. A busy bee & an avid learner she has recd many awards in eloqution & speech and also in painting. She completed Air Travel Management from Indian Technical Institute,Hyderabad. She became a lecturer in junior college in Jabalpur where she recieved the 'Best teacher award' in the year 1999 and was felicitated by the Rotary Club of Jabalpur. She is currently a professor in the University of Pune and Fergusson Collge of pune in the International department.
She joined the Rotary Club of Pune Sports City in the year 2005. She has been able to carry out her responsibilities with the support of her husband, mr. yashwant who owns , "Amber Technologies" which manufactures custom- built machines for the Auto Sector and wonderful children,son Amey and daughter Yashodhara.
